Get your mold hot before you put a hook in it,I either pour lead in the cavaties and dump them out a couple times before I start, pour steady on the lead and as quick as you can and stop as soon as the cavity mouth shows lead so there wont be so much cutting, I use a smallpair of curved wire cutters to cut off the excess lead,your finished products looks good though .Weedguards are a waist of time and money,its so much easier to use the grub body or the hair to make it LESS weedless.
