    Does anybody know what type of material was used to make this jig?

    Maybe a type of fish hair? Sort of hard to tell with it wet and slicked back. Woods and Water Outdoors has different type of fish hair.

    That is not a jig head in the video. It is a regular fly hook or some type.

    I put that video there for a materials reference . you can tie about any fly pattern like that on a jig.

    Oops, thank you yes, we have done that many times in the past putting a fly pattern on a jig head.
