I use a Worth hand wire forming tool. It has the nubs on the front to hand bend wire BUT!! it doesn't like wire above .031. You can make all the bends you need with the Worth tool then use needle nose to make the closing bends. For heavier wires I use an old screw driver wooden hand and use nails to make the nubs.
