    Default Jig of the Year!!

Here's my Jig of the Year winner.
With over 10 fishing trips where it was used almost exclusively this jig put them in the boat.
There were about 100 crappie caught using it and most were 'good'uns" 12-14".

Made with EP fiber and Palmer Chenille it proved itself well.

The end came on the last trip, after catching two 13"ers, it got snagged and the hook broke when pulling it out.
He now has some offspring waiting to follow in his wake.

So, here's to Ziggy. He was a good one.

    I've got no complaints.

Very nice bait and the results speak for itself. That's a winner, just need to make at least a half dozen more Ziggy's. I have a couple jigs hanging on the wall that I retired after catching big fish with them.

Interesting jig. What is the tail, kiptail or a synthetic hair? Having a hard time making it out.

    DrNip,

That's EP fiber for the tail, synthetic. Body is Palmer Chenille.

Looks like the synthetic tail I use sometimes but maybe a little thinner and more stringy. I’ll have to pick some up as I love synthetic hair like this.
