Easter egg dye

I always wanted to try dyeing materials with easter egg dye so wife brought me home some and I tried a couple colors yesterday afternoon. Prepped some wood duck flank feathers, added one tablet to a tablespoon of vinegar and a half cup of water and popped it in the microwave for a minute. They turned out pretty well. Reminds me of a chocolate mint color. Probably would have been darker if I would have left it in the dye longer. Saved the dye for later since it still had some left. Six colors for 98 cents can dye a lot of materials and works with chenille as well.
