Only book I ever read, ( besides the bible) that had a lasting memory for me was , Old man and the Sea, by Enest Hemingway….

Pretty jigs and nice work. My dad worked for Doubleday printing in NY when I was young and he had many of the classics in a bookshelf that I worked my way through over the years I was home. One of them was a 1949 copyright of MobyDick. It was written in old world Elizabethan slang that was spoken on the ships. I took a few pages to get your head into reading it without trying to dissect what you were reading. If you like to read, I recommend it. The old man and Hemingway occupied more than a few of my days. I like Tom Clancy and Dean Koontz lately.

Sounds like an excellent read Skeetbum,,,I’ve read a couple of those old English books before,,,they are very difficult to read, but enjoyable ,,,,I may just have to read that one,,,I actually grew up on Cape Cod where my moms family were all from,,,,our ancestry goes back to the Mayflower …just a history of sea captains and pirates. My uncle wrote several adventurous stories about our family, meant more for teaching and story tales for youth…he wasn’t a very good writer, but they was very entertaining to us none the less,,,his name is Skip aka Galon Barlow and one his books was called “ The Battle of Nantucket”… very cool story about one of our ancestors and our family crest.. check it out sometime,,,you might get a chuckle or two,

That fox tail is pretty and has great action. I just tried a new style (to me), and had them set up for pics and I decided I want to fish them first. If they work, the pics will be better in a fishes mouth than in my vise!
