Yeah, it should work for both.

The stripers are a little shy about biting most crappie jigs but will chase it often. Need something better to close the deal.
They are a blast on crappie poles too.

I see them quite often with livescope and have caught quite a few. So a dedicated striper pole would make a good addition and provide a more exciting experience.
Blue cats are also seen up in the water a lot and can be a real test of tackle. They usually need some excitation to get a bite, but not always, sometimes it's a hammer.
String stretching. More fun!

Besides, it's never certain what your looking at until you see it in person, so it's a good way to learn what different species look like on sonar.

Made it a pair with a second tie this evening, with some changes of course!
