Better Minner

Had an idea to build a jig that was a uniform width from head to tail for a more realistic minnow shape.

Here's some pics of the process. Not exactly what I had in mind .

Another try using a bullet head. Jig looks like a two-ought hook long shank. Half of it looks pretty good

Here's one using fish hair over bucktail. The first two had a lot of flair in the water so didn't show the long slender minnow shape.

This one looks better in the water with the fish hair.

This would probably work better using a streamer hook which would allow for a better minnow shape. Since this type of minnow is usually seen near the surface, very little weight would be required.

I'll probably give that a try at some point.
