    Default Easy mini jigs

When the water is clear and cold I down size my jigs and fish these that average about 1" in total length using #10-12 sickle hooks on 1/32-1/48 heads. I tied these with a new product called shimmer rabbit that has metallic hair in silver or gold in it and trout and bluegill have been hammering it the last 10 days. Even had a really nice bass about 6lbs. eat one before breaking me off in the brush by the dock. Even the little trout like them. One would have been a snack for the bass I lost earlier. Simple tie, just using two tiny clumps of hair. Rabbit hair with this flash is killer. Name: IMG_2622.jpg

Thanks Jim. Are you trimming the fur off the hide?

    Those look nice!

Are there actual silver tinsel fibers added, or just highlights of paint on the fur?

Very pretty jigs. Bill Byrd (byrdultrafly.com) tied a fly that is very similar.
