Nice work Skip. I believe the latest commercial use of guinea feathers I have seen is the Arbogast hula popper 2.0

All true and to each his or her own is what I say. I just prefer using natural materials for most of my tying, but I do have some craft fur and a few other synthetics, but don't use them a lot. The craft fur ties nice and fish will eat it, but I hate the way it tangles in each other in the box. Know a guide here on this lake that ties his own and it's all he uses.
Hair, my favorite I guess is Rabbit, but also like some other natural kinds. I find rabbit tuff and easy to tie really and can make the entire jig with the head and a strip of rabbit and the crappie love it as it's a lot like marabou.

Nice jigs Skip. I tied some a few years back, spurred from your post about them. I mostly tie for what I use or folks ask for now and don’t have much call for the guinea. Still have the feathers, and you know how history repeats itself.

I have a pile and use Guinea feathers. I think they make a great minnow jigs. I like to shoot docks with them.
