So my question is when I tied a Crappie jig the other day I placed the jig hook on my little vise with ball head jig hook point in the up position. I noticed then later, most others tie with hook point tip down. Does it matter? I'm used to a Crappie lure in soft plastic being hook point up. I built mine being able to visualize the top in it's profile as it would be in the water. If I tie it hook point down, for a Crappie jig, it's upside down. But maybe I just assumed since all jigs with plastics always were hook point up, that was the proper way. What say you all?
