Well part of the look in mine is the 1/32 Oz Roadrunner has a regular bend #6 hook so if I had my normal #4 Sickle or even a #6 Sickle on a regular head the look would not much different than yours. My vise has a pretty short shank for the jaw and I use the back end of it as a general guide for length. That makes my jigs about 2 1/2" long, but if it's kip tail or Rabbit it's a good bit shorter (more like 1 3/4" long). Hackle tails for me are going to be about 2 1/4" long +- a tiny bit.
I know a guide on this lake that ties his on jigs, most are 1/8 Oz with no larger than a #6 regular bend hook and he uses Craft Fur full length on his jigs. That's a bit long for me, but that is what he does.
