I don't use what they call head cement on chenille jigs unless it for coating over he head. Head cement really is for flitting head made from thread. So for glue on chenille jigs I make my own from Clear High Gloss Lacquer and MEK thinner. I mix it close to 50/50 in one of the little applicator bottles. I bought a qt of each the Lacquer and MEK something like 14 years ago and both are still about half full so expect they will last another 14 years. The cost is way less than buying a bunch of head cement bottles and you don't get a hard spot on your chenille from mine. It also penetrates super fast and dries also super fast. I have never had any trouble from this and all you need is one good drop!

I also make my own flex glue, but that is a whole other thing and I use that for thread neck jigs and a few other things.
