    Default herring head/swivels/split rings


    What size swivels and split rings do You use to make yours? I got #12 crane swivels and 0 split rings. My problem is the little split rings. I cant do much with them. any tricks? anywhere You can get those swivels with the rings already attached? Thanks for any info.CF

    Barlows tackle.Look up mold will tell ya what you need.Cheaper to buy them separate.Good pair of xron(blue handles"premium" split ring pliers not cheap but worth the pain,Go ahead and buy two pair.

    I don't know what size head weight your dealing with so will give you two......first for the 1/32 Oz Roadrunners I use a 00 blade by Worth and the split rings I use on that is #2 SS and I use the same size on my 1/16 and even 1/8 oz heads. Then all I change is the blade size and for 1/32 I use a 0 and 1/16 a #1. I also said I use Worth because them and Hagen have some difference in sizes, like the smallest blade at Worth that I use is a 0 and at Hagen I believe it's a 00.

    I short your split rings are too small for me, lol!

    I use 4141*Stainless Jump Rings 1/8th" from Lure parts On Line. Been using them for a few years and never lost a blade.
    They are incredibly easy to use.
