    Default Flourocarbon

Is anybody using flourocarbon to tie bottom rigs and c&c rigs? If so, what lb test are you using? I've always used mono, but was thinking about changing over.

    Thanks!!

I use fluorocarbon when using braid with my hard water rigs. I use a # 12 swivel to attach the 4-6 lb fluorocarbon.

I sometimes use fluorocarbon when using braid in extremely clear water or very cold water fishing when the crappie are more wary than normal. I have found the uni-knot to be best for attaching the two together. I don't use it when fishing C&C or Kentucky rigs - just use mono then.

You'd probably get a lot more responses if you post this in the main forum.

Fluro is "SLICK", so double knot your ties and you will lose less fish! Experience talkin!

For me it would need to be some super clear water to use either mono or Fluorocarbon, but I don't use a double rig much except in summer when I will add a minnow hook up some from my jig. Fishing spring I long line so no need for a double drop and I tie my braid straight to the jig unless I am using one of my little Quick clips.
