There is a certain type of metal you can add to your lead that will keep them as shiney as a mirror...but it slips my mind at this time....lol...

can get old lead looking like new with acetone.the basic ingredient in nail polish remover.cheap nail polish works as well as anything.i use clear with glitter on the ones i dont paint.powder is a SUPERIOR finish for sure and the hooks will rust away long before the finish does

True, but most of mine ar on jigs that guys want unpainted and the Sally's is just to keep them from oxidizing in the box before every used. Sometimes a plain lead head will out fish a painted head. Just saying!
If I am going to paint one anyway, I never use Sally's!
