Smallest spinnerbait I ever saw. The beauty of these is that they don't get fouled up nearly as often as a clip on type spinner.



The pic of the pink one makes it look bigger than it is.

The Tiny Spin comes in 1/20oz, I think, up to 1/8oz. I have fished them since 1978 and have cleaned out more ponds and creeks, tongue in cheek, than I care to admit to with the 1/8th. They are superior to a beetle spin in that the lead is molded around the wire vs. clipped on. Since 1978 I would honestly say that I have lost 3 Tiny Spins to hanging up on a limb. Excellent, thanks for the info. I've asked Southern Pro to consider making a 1/8 oz creek spin, but nothing yet.

I will ill be giving Mr Gilmore some business. Turns out they are about 10 miles due north of me.

Howdy, if you ever find yourself in Alma, Arkansas (on I-40 near Fort Smith), check out A to Z Outdoors. I stopped by there today and lo and behold, they carry a full line of Gilmore tackle. I had already placed an order on the Gilmore website, but I bought a few more today. They make a hair jig with a tail spinner attached to the hook, it looks very interesting.

If if any of you do go to A to Z in Alma, go to their tool store across the road. It's a Wal Mart size store crammed full of Chinese tools, knives, all sorts of things. I could spend all day in there.

Far back as I can remember there's always been a beetle spin they've always been a fish Producer.

I guess it depends on how handy you are, but here's a crappie sized spinnerbait that gets done in 1/16 and 1/8. Less handy than a safety-pin device though.

Has anyone ever tried making / bending their own beetle spin type lures using safety pins? If so, how did they turn out? Did they hold up to a good sized fish? How did you attach your weights? Just lookin' for ways to kill a stormy day...

I make these spinner baits with 0.026 wire and 1/16 once weights. The safety pin spinners are connect to the line with a cross lock snap and used for slow trolling. I also make the spinners with a R bend for casting.
The propeller spinners are fished with a #8 fly or a 1 1/2 inch tube head with a # 8 hook. This type of rig works best for Blue Gills.
