They look good for your first try. However videos are good, but some are not telling things as they should be IMHO! Many are very good, but I would tell you spend some time on the lessons at FAOL. It is where I learned most of what I do and still check back from time to time. They have beginner, intermediate and advanced. Yes it's flies, but if you want to do something just find a pattern they do using what you want and copy how they did it. It's all pictures with tutorials and very good stuff. They also have a huge tips page you can look through and learn some good stuff! It will also teach you a lot of this language which is very different! I did all this long ago!
Click on Fly Tying then Beginning Fly Tying and go from there and after you learn all you can there go to the Intermediate Tying!
