    Default cheap storage

I thought I would share my fly trying storage ideas. I'm always looking for cheap storage.

This main container came from Michaels. Normally , they are 10 bucks, but you can catch them on sale 3 for 10 or use their weekly coupon for 40 to 50% off. This is a 14" X 14" and it's about 3" deep. It holds 60 of the small containers.

The dollar tree sells the small containers with lids in a package of 10 for a buck. So, for a total of less than 10 bucks, you have a boat load of storage. I store jigs, hooks, dubbing, bead chain, weights, swivels, etc.

I'm even considering making me a cheap tackle box for fishing.

Here I am putting away some jigs that I had poured recently.

As you can see, I have 100 of the 1/16 jig heads in this small container.

The uses of these small containers are endless. You can drill a small hole in the lid and have a nice dubbing container.

Can see where that would be awesome for dubbing and lots of the little stuff used especially in fly tying. They have a huge amount of tiny pieces and parts like the barbell eyes, cones, beads of all kinds, little tungsten skud/shrimp bodies and tons of things.

    Cool idea!

I love this idea. I am going out today to try to find. My hooks, jig heads, weights, swivels, etc always get thrown together in the plastic containers in tackle boxes. This will be perfect for all my loose items. I wonder if the plastics would melt as mentioned above. If not, it would also be great for my plastics. Thanks for sharing.

Take one and put a couple of plastics in it. Set on dash for a couple of days. That should tell you quick. From what I have seen though most company's have changed formulas so they don't melt like the used to.

Bought the scrap book container today and 5 packs of small containers. That's all the store had. Need to get one more pack at least. Pop

Got the scrap book last night also. Still got to get the little ones. Walmart had them, but $3 for 10. Figured I would check dollar general.
