Default Another horse head head modification.

These are 1/32 and 1/16 oz x #6 sickles that I made the spinner swivel attachment out of Mustad 3366A large eye #8 hook. I bend the hook eye section of the hook and snipe it off. I open the eye slightly and place it in the mold and cast it. I can then paint the head without having to protect the swivel. The free swinging barrel swivel also gives the spinner blade more action I believe. As I mentioned in a previous post I use the #0 Do-it insert in my 1/8 oz and above horse heads but that insert is to big for these smaller heads. Thought I would share.

Good job Sir! That engineer blood is kicking in. LOL Bet those blades will spin like crazy. That is what I never liked about RR setup. The swivel is always in a bind. Great solution!!!!

Nice, this makes me want to get set up for casting.

On a related note, I was in Academy today (Fort Smith, AR) and they now have roadrunner heads with a barb (previously no barb) an they also had a "no bling" version without the spinner. And had some 1/4 oz "Randy Howell" bass swimjigs and bare jigheads.

Yes warhawk that is Blakemore's Marabou 2 head. They even have eye sockets for glue on eyes. They use a Prizim eye on theirs! It's a very nice head, but wish mine didn't have the barb and it's more trouble than I want to remove it. These also have a nice size hook and theirs are tied thread neck style with Marabou!

I have some of these heads, but didn't get their eyes and wish that I had.
