I certainly would bite it if I were a fish before it tried to eat me!

Very nice looking tie Skip. I did a red white and blue theme for the 4th and had fun jigging it.

Send me one and I will fish it. The crappie probably have not seen anything like it and will attack it. I believe that dog will hunt Skip.

I agree. Let the fish decide. You don't know how they feel at the moment. Still like

I think that would work great here in the tannic waters of the St. Johns River

lowe175 I also fish several colors close to this without the Red. Mostly a Silver/FL Yellow/FL Blue which I found for me seemed to catch larger fish more than others, but maybe it was just luck of the day? That is kind of what made me do this and I took the FL Chart Estaz in regular size and then made the dollar using Grande Red Estaz. I was thinking I wanted the red to have longer hackles to stick out some. It's not easy to do on a Sickle hook because of the short strait portion of the shank, but it's not all that hard, just could use a little more room to have more of the Chart.

I did have visions of this with a little longer Chart part and then the longer Red hackles streaming back over the Chart, but not covering it all up either, LOL!

Longer red chinese saddle palmered collar might give you the look you are looking for. Plus you could really control the amount of red by number of wraps.
