Well I don't know anything about vises, but this one seems very well made. I put it together and tried a hook in it and it held tight. The Rotary Function works pretty smooth and I am sure it will get better. I think for the price you couldn't get much better. No tools or supplies yet so next week and I will be able to tie my first ones

Its a Mayfly, I got it off ebay and its all made here in the USA. Like I said I really don't know anything about them but this seems well built I think I will be happy that this is the one that I got instead of one of the 15 dollar ones made over in some place I never heard of

Nice looking vise. Might put a touch of light machine oil on the rotary. Looks like it will get the job done.
