I do t know that vise, but also maybe we look at this a little different okay? Not sure what kind of equipment you use at work or at home regular like, but I am sure there are some that make that tool much better than a different one or cheap one, right? Well if you happen to have both. One not so hot and one really nice, well then your changing what you do or use and don't need either any longer so let's sell them. Now do you think it's going to be easier to sell that cheap one that is just short of junk, or do you think it would be easier to get some of your money back o. A superior tool you have? I have always found it's much easier to get a little money back on something of quality! Just my 2 cents and I dont know one thing about that vise so I can not say it's no good or it's good enough, no way I can justify making a comment on a mayfly 2 vise.Quote:

Thanks Bobo, I had already been to the site to check out what would be the better selections. I still don't know wether to spend a little more upfront and if things don't work out I can sell it easier. I have been looking at a mayfly 2 on ebay but I haven't found anyone that knows anything about them on here anyway. It looks like a decent vise and the guy that has them made looks like an Ok guy

I like the looks of it but know no history. The only thing I think of is that some jaws are made of off quality steel and will snap off a side of the jaw at some point. If replacement jaws were available I would go for it. If it turns out to be good and smooth you'll be ahead of the game. Good luck with it and keep us posted.
