Good job and really sorry to hear of your accident that did all that damage, never easy to come back from a serious injury like that. I am happy to see its coming out okay for you though! Congrats on the comeback!Skip

Welcome back. I wondered where you had gotten off to. The ties look good, using kip tail? The colors are sure winners. I never did well in a cast either, doctor scolded me regularly. Glad it all worked out.

I do have a theory about that, meaning why you do better on kip tail jigs. It would have to do with where you live and he temps your water is. I do believe fisrt crappie like it especially when the water is still cold as they are not looking for a lot of action, but once the water warms up then I like feathers more as I believe they like more action then. Not that kip tail will not work in warm water as it will because I know guys that kip tail is all they use all year. I know if the water is around 50 or colder that kip tail really shines big time! By the time the water warms to some place in the 60's they are starting to get more spunk to them and will chase bait more, then it's time for marabou and hackle! Just my 2 cents on this!
