Got my samples of eagle claw ( lil nasty) sickle hook

Got my samples yesterday, asked for bronze,and black nickel . Right out of the gate, quality, does stand out. The bronze price 1000 is great 17.00 and some change. I wish I knew why the bn always is shaper? Same in the Matzua. I believe now I WILL change brands. I'm over all the issues I've had in the past with Matzua. Later LB got #4-2 sizes for this test.

The bronzing and colored [red,blue, etc.] hook coatings are applied AFTER the hooks are sharpened. The black nickel is a metal and can be sharpened after it is applied.

The thing with certain people they are stuck on a color! One guy I know only uses the bronze colors won't use anything else? When I look at a hook I want the sharpest hook I can find! Wasn't until I found the sickle hook did I notice while long trolling I lost less fish? So naturally I went with the sharpest hook the. On top of that the wide gap makes a difference ! Just my .02

I have the 1/16oz & the 1/32oz ball head, no barb & the 1/8oz Shad Dart. I have some samples of the EC hooks coming and I think they'll fit my molds better than the Matzua's. We'll see.
