    Default Ant

This Ty really stretched my abilities. I was inspired by an ant that Skip tied and I just had to try it. It turned out to be a hair raising experience. It was something I saw, fell in love with and had to give it a go. No, it's no where near as pretty as Skip's, but he gave me the encouragement to keep at it and I'm glad I did. There where times I was ready to chunk it across the room. I would get it looking good, and then the thread would unravel. I would post a pic and Skip was right there to help me through it. Thanks again Bro!!!

The ant looks good. Small flies takes some time to get use to tying but it looks like you have the fly bug fever Nice tying work.

Good looking bug for sure. Mine weren't near that good and have yet to get them wet. Gotta go outside the box sometimes to keep the interest up.

That ant jig will catch fish. There is a popular fly tying saying---" Keep a can handy at the vise. If a pattern doesn't quite come out "right", just toss it in the can and try again. When you go fishing, take the can. lol

Is it ok to use a kitchen trash can. I am afraid anything smaller may not be big enough for me to use. Your ant looks great. Reminded me of the big ants at my uncles dairy. They were hard to kill. Should be a killer jig.
