Hey we are just about two weeks from the longest day of the year. Today it almost hit 90 degrees and it was as humid as I care to have it. Sent me inside after 10:00A.M. I was out of the garden and then inside the house. Which leads me to the meat of this thread. I got to thinking that in three months it will be time to go after the fall crappies as they will start their fall feeding binge. I found my self starting to go thur my fall jig boxes and seeing what I needed and what I could possible want to tie to try in the fall.
I know alot of you are in the summer mode but how many of you are thinking ahead to the fall season? Fall for me is bigger jigs, bright colors, and brass blades for the ponies. Tell me your thoughts, guess I am to much of being a Boy Scout " Be Prepared ".

FISH ON
Hello Redman, been a while. I can't think of anything except my trip last Saturday, and when can I go again. The short story is; 40 keepers in just over 2 hrs, in the land of a 15 fish limit. Trolling Crankbaits (I know, waaay off the reservation) running 6 rods by myself. Looks like a chinese fire drill when it gets busy. Last year I used 1/8oz jigs with craft hair and a few strands of flash in a pumpkin kind of head and an orangutan craft hair. All I can think of is that it resembles a bluegill fry, and they hit it with total abandon. I have to tie them by the dozen as the fish are on the sides of the river channel and it's grabby down there. I'm adding a swivel and small blade between the head and body this year to see if I can't lose a little more money whenever I get hung up. Always enjoy your posts.
