    Default Lambs wool

Anyone use lambswool for tying jigs?
How well does lambs wool work?
I was in Wmart and saw a white lambswool duster.
    Lot of hair for $5.

Have some Icelandic Sheep Hair, but just have not tried it, but think it should be pretty good! Also they sell some Rams Wool for fly tying so probably would do fine on jigs.

You can use wool roving to tie jigs, works well and makes a nice jigging jig. You can buy it at craft stores and also ebay. Here is just one place to get it from.

I've used it to make some shad type flies, but never for jigs. If you look around at some of the Wal-mart's you might find some of the synthetic hair dusters at the same price. The hair is white and enough to last a long time.I honestly like Squirel or Bucktail better myself ,but the synthetics tie really nice too. No problem with it rotting as well. You should also try calf tails as well really nice action when its wet.
