Me and the whip finisher finally settled our differences.
I'm not fast but at least I'm not fussing at it. I watched fly tying 101 part 5 several times
Figured out what i was doing wrong with the marabou. I started using small feathers which were just the right size. When i used a large feather it wadded up. I realized i should tear off just what was needed. I have a lot of materials on the way including a new pedestal Peak rotary vice![]()
I've got chenille's, threads, fluorescent marabou , hen necks, ostrich feathers, glow powder paints , terminal tackle , jig heads holographic eyes and etc, on the way.
I had been using heavy white quilting thread. When I got to the end I'd just Color 3to 4 inches with the proper color spike it garlic pen or fluorescent permanent marker. It works fine but has limitations. I'm sure I'll have enough to keep me busy till April.
