Vern - since you have some did you notice any rough edges in the eyelets?? and were there any problems when you cured the powder paint on them??
I'm going to ask Skip if he had any problems getting the horseheads nickle plated as I'm going to have my guy here try a few of them.
Thanks Vern!! Skip says no problems with the swivel it just coats it and doesn't mess it up.
Skip would know. Hey, you outta see if he'll "Loan" you his key to Fort Knox so you can get some of that Gold plating!![]()
The plating some how just attaches to what it touches and applies a thin coat of the plating and the swivels are just as loose as before and makes absolutely no difference.
I've got a plating shop here that does electro-less nickel plating on some of our engine hardware. The shop foreman said that he would try to plate some heads for me next week. I just have to remember to take him some. This is not decorative plating. It's industrial but Im going to give it a try. Will post results AND pics.
Vern - if he loans me the key I'm gonna be taking a whole bunch of bricks with me!!!!!!LOL
crappiepappa - The stuff the guy who's going to try for me is what he nickle plates hand guns with. Don't know why the industrial stuff would be any different?? but I'm not sure on that. Post up what you get back.
If you have some culls that would be great Bobo. otherwise I'll just have to take him some good ones but then, if he can do it then I would get a dozen or so done for free!![]()
Trust me I have some culls. You know how picky I am about what goes out. I have all the culls you could want.
