    Default Oven curing rack

Anyone out there make your own vise or something to keep the heads pointing up when you have them in the oven curing the powder paint

Here is what I made if I have a lot to do. I have another toaster oven I have for normal amounts and just hang them on the wire shelf in it.Please excuse the dusty bottom as I have not used it in a while.

I made this one from some 1/8" aluminum plate I had, cut to the depth of my toaster oven tray & drilled 4 holes thru both plates for the all-thread.

hang your painted jigs, tighten, flip the rack & into the toaster.

    Here's a curred batch

Note; Be sure to use all-thread of appropriate size for the jigs you'll be painting. I limited myself somewhat, to 1/32oz-#6 hook jigs or larger, mostly due to the washer's I used but when I go to a #8 or smaller hook, the barb rubs the rod and could at the least, dull it. Fortunately my painting/tying rarely drops down smaller than 1/32-#6 hook jigs.

Man Vern mine has to be cheaper, LOL! Also though I never have to worry about too much paint any more as I don't get the bullet nose for years now.

i frequently get too much paint but now it runs down the hook shank & I can just snip it off with my side cutters or yie over it if it's not too thick. The jigs cure "Nose Up" in the oven like in the last 2 photo's.

Man, you need a counting method for heat so you can make a fast dip and never have too much paint. I never get that much any longer. Don't you use a fluid bed? We need to talk on the phone buddy!
