    Default Playing around a bit

I keep finding myself drawn more and more in the direction of tying flies on top of jig tying. I have no idea why, other than maybe the challenge of making my hands work with that small of an object. Anyway I was going through some of my tying supplies tonight and found a package of misc. fly hooks. I thought what the heck why not try it out.

Earlier I the afternoon I was showing Crappiepappa how to wrap hackle to make a neck, fan or whatever you call it. LOL Well here is the result of leaving me alone to long in the tying room.

It Is a brown and black hackle feather, some squirrel tail and a #14 hook.

As always feedback is both welcomed and encouraged.

    Thank you,

    Bobo

Just so you know it's a collar. Nice tie Bobo! Should say if using a collar it usually only has 2 or 3 wraps and if you use the whole body to do that, but with a wider separation it would be palmered hackle.

Also use the links I gave you for FAOL and go through the lessons and learn what each part is. That would help you a lot I feel.
