    Default Sohumi Jig Hooks

I am planning on molding some panfish jigs this winter and was wondering if anyone has used these hooks to make jigs? Which brand of jig hook do you prefer? Thanks!

That's a nice hook. I haven't used any but may get some a try. I use Matzuo sickles and Mustad hooks most of the time.

I used them with great success about 6 years ago, but the price has gone way up on those since then. used size 4 gold and they were real sharp too.

Thanks for the replies! I'll be giving them a whirl for sure.

VMC or the BLN Mustad is a better choice for round bend panfish jig hooks. I also like to use the Matzuo's sickle and round bend (BLN).

I have had QC issues (flatten eyes) with the Sohumi before and won't use them again - too expensive to take another chance.
