paint for jigs

What do folks use? I just got back into fly tying after a long hiatus. I simply got tired of paying three bucks for a fly I could tie myself. I'll still spring for the size 22 trout stuff, but $3.00 for a clouser? No. So I bought a new vise, dug out the old tools, ordered some dead animals and hooks off ebay and I'm off.
But I've also started doing jigs. I bought a couple of hundred heads for about twenty bucks. Back in the day folks just used nail polish, so that's what I did. I went and bought a half dozen bottles of the cheap stuff at Wally World in white and black and green. But clearly from looking at y'alls work times have changed.
Without getting too elaborate here, what do you use and what do I need to do good basic jigs?

Most of us use powder paint and most use a fluid bed to fluff the paint. I use an alcohol burner to heat the head and feel it's the best by far, some use a heat gun, but personally I not only don't like it as well I don't want to listen to all the noise.

a few use vinyl paint and I do some times, but I mostly use it on roadrunners, but even on them I use powder paint more.
