Default Got me a new Vise!!!

Yeah, I spent a bit of money and got the same vise as Crappie Legend -

    Griffin Odyssey Spider

Just got it in the mail today, still setting it up, but I can already tell it is going to be a
VAST improvement over my previous vise, which was only a "sort-of" rotary.

Wanted a Nor-Vise real bad, but right now, cannot afford the $395.00 price tag!

I took the table vice off and made a wood base , works good. Just drilled a hole in a piece of wood and stuck it in.

Looks like you did good. I like the wood base too...My brother-in-law sliced a slab of cedar wood he had for turning on his lathe and gave it to me for a base. works pretty good to. I think you going to like that there vise real good.

Its a real nice vise. I just bought a used Griffin mongoose, pretty much the same vise, just with a pedastal included, and I love the thing. It makes jig tying and fly tying a lot less frustrating than fighting a kit vise.
