    Default Glow material? What are my options?


    I have long been a fan of glow plastic tubes so I would like to get some body and tail material that are also glow for tying? What do you all like?

    Especially in chart

    I tie a 90+ % UV jig...love it! Caught a lot of fish on them too!

    Did a lot of experimenting with Glow jigs a few years back. Skip makes one of the best glow jigs on the market. Must have tried 6 or 7 different ones. Some days it made a big difference some days it didn't. If I remember right the darker the day and dirtier the water the better they worked. Want to increase your catch a better experiment would be to with scents. I found that this was more important than sight. Also experiment with vibration as in a turning blade, One of the great part of the pony head is the blade it's not the flash of the blade but the vibration.

    Fishes senses are more astute than we think and It has been my experience that smell and Feel???? are ahead of sight.

    Barlow's has some glow materials; Glow Flashabou,Phosphorescent Tinsel, and Glow Chenille.

    UV materials I get all from Wapsi, or Hairline Dubbing, look at what they offer fluorescent feathers, thread, flashabou, that. Holds light...chenille also fluroesent . The powder coatings all UV from pro tech they also offer a glow over coat!
