ALso that tail sure looks like Ginger to me or bleached Elk kind of looks like that. Is that tail supposed to be olive?
I know you guys are just fooling with me but that's okay yes that is a olive tail more of a yellow olive or are so many different shades that you can make or buy.

I bet that would be a fine clear water jig, especially during a bug hatch

Ugly jigs need love too! A few years ago I received some chenille in a swap, just 6 or 8 inches in a different look than we normally use(suede maybe, or velour). I looked at it on the bench for months and finally had to clean the bench. I grabbed a tan head, this off white chenille, and a tan hackle tail feather( I think that was it anyway). It was 1/8 and looked like nothing I had used or tied before. I dropped it on some fish and they absolutely loved it. I fish 2 rods that time of year and that rod was much busier than my Favorite on the other rod. I think I still have it and it has over 80 keepers to it's credit. Point is, have a cooler ready when you start trying these oddballs. I tie goofy stuff now just to find out if it will work.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
