    Default Going Rouge

Well the old Redman has been having a problem for a while now. Seem that he can get in a groove to be as creative as he would like to be. He has gotten stuck on the same old five pattern rotation for the last couple of years. He knows that there are other materials and some patterns that haven't been tried and should be.

There can then be only one solution to the problem and that is to GO ROUGE. This is the last post I will be making for a while as I need time and recover energy to be creative again. I need to sit and think then turn those thought in to actions. I have not made a new mold in years. I want to get back to giving you guys some good stuff but can't unless I leave for a while.

On other jig crafting type sites I have visited and viewed there work and it is the same old thing that I have looked at for the past 30 years since I and others came up with some of those patterns. Back in the day we traded patterns and when some one went to another area of the country he bought a few of the local jigs to fish and then brought them home for trial. It was a year not ten minutes that we got to see what was different. Now with the computer it is almost instant this doesn't mean better. We tend to put out our work and get that Atta boy replies thinking that we are good. Some of these site get mired up in the look how good I am I tied 25 jigs and they are all different tonight attitude. Some sites get just PLAIN mean and there are folks that are jealous of others. As I have said we are where we are suppose to be at the moment. The Rancor that develops on these sites and left to fester hurts them. We are lucky to have the moderators we have that keep things at a even keel.
Other sites I have seen end up with two very innovative tiers and the rest are just scrubs. NAW ain't going to let that happen here. Want every one to be the best and most creative they can be. That is why I am leaving for a while.

I started when I moved down here with Crappie. Com and I will end here. Give me some time to get in the groove. When I get back I will hopefully have some wonderful things for you to experiment with. I will check in every now and again to see that you are are behaving yourselves. Skip does know how to get a hold of me so every thing is good. Sorry for such a long post.

    All take care Now

    Redman

ok redman, I know you will come up with something great, you always do. for those of you who don't know, redman was nice enough to share his method of making single and double cavity molds out of aluminum using the old time method of pressing a blank between the aluminum halves. He recieved his mold making knowledge from the pioneer of this process many years ago. so when redman says he is gonna take a break and maybe go and come up with something different, you need to know that he is full of what it takes to do that. I for one will be a waitin for his return.

I think when Snake River (Bob) moves here we may go up and visit him again. Redman and I share a lot in common even other than fishing and tying.
