I was almost out of Texas Toast chenille so I bought some more from CAT (the only place I've seen Texas Toast). Robert carries #3 on the site but through a special order, I was able to get #5 this time.

As you can see, there isn't that much difference but I was having to double wrap most of the jigs I used the #3on, especially the 1/8oz jigs. The jigs below are single wrapped and they turned out alright.

I believe the second pic uses dyed Mallard flank, and the third are hackle feathers. Definitely good work.
I use large chenille on several of my ties, mostly on 1/8 but that's not written in stone. Really like the effect and the less time to tie compared to doubling.

Those look great, I like the double #3 or the single #5. Of course the 5 would save some time and money.
