Black Chrome Sickles!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sent Don Hoben (Matzuo) a message the other day asking for an update on the Size 4 Black Chrome sickles.

Today I got 2 messages from him. You can see them below, For me, I emailed him back to verify if they were the Size 4 Black Chrome sickles I was looking to have replaced.

This one came in at 6:01 PM today

They have not ship from the factory yet.
So we are looking toward the end of June .

I know skip brought this up the other day...I did not respond. But I was fishing docks last week shooting my jigs w/ #4 sickle. When I hang up most of the time I bending them and getting them back...but one...just happened to be a new color combination...got hung on brush and the hook snapped???? I looked at it and right then I thought I had never had a hook break...and especially in the radius??? Hope there is nothing to this batch...will look into to this further this weekend. I got a bunch tied...lot of labor

Where'd it snap?? Alot are snapping inside the jig head at the 90 bend!

Some test them by clamping them in a vise and pulling on them with like 8 pound mono and some break way before the line! Have heard some break very easy.

lol...I have been breaking them with 6 lb test...snap snap snap...and all in the same place...at the 90 bend...

We have been using braid line thought that was the problem on the black chrome sickles. Thanks for the heads up we stopped using them!!!

you would think that Eagle claw or one of those bigger outfits would come out with a similarity to the sickles.

This past weekend I had several break on 6lb test would get the eye and a small amount if the neck back? and some broke at the bend... a small percentage but still broke>

I haven't had any trouble with hooks breaking but have had nothin but trouble from Don Hoben the man will promise you the world but won't come through with jack.....good luck fm.
