    Default glitter?

What type(metal, polyester, etc ) and size glitter is needed to add to pro-tech glitter coat powder paint to get a real heavy coat of glitter on my crappie lead heads? I do not want to use a white primer coat before adding the color coat. I am wanting a really heavy coat of glitter before adding color coat. Also, where can it be purchased ? All help is greatly appreciated!

You can use any type of glitter you want - I get mine from JoAnne's fabrics, Hobby Lobby, Ac Moores, michaels, Walmart!!! Just realize if you get to heavy of a coat it's really bumpy. I'd take half your jar and put it in a zip bag, then dump whatever glitter you want in the jar. The glitter coats are just that - clear with glitter.

I actually bought pounds of glitter, but don't use is all that much. I mean sometimes I get ask for glitter, but not as mush as I thought it would be. Bet I have 6 or more different colors and a pound of each that I bought from CSI (Pro-Tech). I will end up selling a good bit of it on ebay since I don't think I will ever use that much. Guys use all kind like Fatman said and I even had some I bought from craft stores, but in the end I wanted what CSI had as well as their colors. I buy paint the same way.
I am with Fatman about using much make the head rough as heck, which I have seen some heads like that and didn't care for them enough to try them and they still sit in my tying room, but that is just me.

    Ijerkum,
Holographic glitter from hobby lobby in the micro size works great. Mica powder seems to be a popular choice also. You can create really crazy looks with either.
For a base coat, Just mix the glitter in with clear, heat your head at a low temp and apply. While its still warm either go back into a plain clear or a candy and
Reheat. You can make the glitter as heavy as you want or as subtle as you want. With this method you won't get a rough head and you can cure the head without burning off your glitter.
Hard to capture the glitter on my phone, but you can see it some.
