    Your welcome and I am sure it will give you years of good service.
    That leather should do the trick! I just added a 2x12 ledge to a table that I use to tie on. It's an L shape we bolted on to the side of the table. It's just one of them kind the legs fold up to put it away and I needed it to give me a lower place to clamp my vise.

    Lol, I don't think I can get away with adding a piece of 2x12 to the kitchen table........I'll ask though, and get back with you on how my request with the lady of the house turns out

    LOL, I didn't use the good furniture for that! Kind of table you see at like gun shows or any picnic. Had to brace it under the table so my spinning my vice didn't shake any more.

    I got some of that thin sticky backed felt that's used on lamp bases and other what-nots so they won't mare table tops. I glued it to a 1/4x2x14" wood strip. Lay it on the table edge, a 2x12x14" is under the table. Use 2 3" C clamps to mount it to the table. If you set the clamps with the screw heads down, your knees can find them. If mounted up, they can get in the way. Maybe a longer board would help.
