    Default Glow Jigs


    Getting ready for the hard water season I tied up some glow jigsName:  IMG_2725.JPG

Size:  71.8 KBName:  IMG_2728.JPG
Views: 1093
Size:  64.3 KB for night fishing through the ice.
    Components: Minnow head mold, glow powdered paint,1/16 once head ,# 6 hook,glow chenille, rubber hackle tail.
    The smaller version uses a 1/32 once head and # 8 hook.

    I make some glow jigs as well. Mine are a little different though.

    yes there is some tail materials that glow, butnot usually bright enough to maks me happy sp I just use Florescest color featrher or hair. I am about to try a new material, but don't have it yet to see. There is some flash type stuff, biy I didnt care for it and dont really think it's needed.

    Awesome jigs, Bob! Beautifully tied That's the way to do it w/o breaking the bank. Otherwise i would just go plaaaaastics. Know they'll serve their purpose and sure they'll put fish on your table. Thx for sharing

    Barlow's does have a Glow Flashabou that could be used for tail material. I also got the glow chenille I used on the jig bodies from Barlow's.
    I sure wish I could find some phosphorescent rubber hackle for tail material. :-(
