can anyone tell me what type of line/string is used for the bobber knot stops you buy in the store?

Don't worry, catch crappie.
Can't remember where I got it but found a spool of floresent yellow in my cabinet the other day that is for tying stops. Think it is Dacron and possibly came from Netcraft.

I like embroidery floss for my string bobber stops on light line. It it very thin and it cinches down really tight. For larger ones, 8# line or larger I use Dacron or rubber bobber stops, the long thin ones, not the chubby ones.
If you don't plan on reeling the bobber stop into the guides it really doesn't matter what type you use.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
