ScottV and Maachu do both. Sometimes Bandit will run a sale on off color or non selling baits. Or guys will buy a bunch of baits off one of the bass forums or eBay and have them repainted. I am assuming you are looking for Crappie baits.

I remember seeing somewhere on a forum lure making section some crankbaits that appeared to be printed out. The design on them looked exactly like a photo of a fish. I was wondering how they did this?
also when people custom paint crankbaits are they buying the baits, then painting over the factory paint job, or are they somehow buying blanks of lures? I know its easy to buy generic blank lures, but what about the name brand lures?

im looking for LM bass or crappie baits. Through searching i have found the specific technique i was refering to. it involves a few steps, which allows you to print a picture of a fish and place it on a lure.
as for finding name brand blanks, I havent found any. I have found a few remakes of name brand baits. Basically like you said i will have to find name brand baits on sale.
Tackleunderground.com has several lure makers on that site from making baits from scratch to repainting them that might be able to help!!!!!
