we were just goofing off yesterday in I decided to make up some jig insert jigs these are not 100% perfect but we do enjoy making them there are many different color combinations that you can do with these guys.

These are similar to the jig I was using this fall right after the lakes turned over. For some reason during the soft water season the panfish bit better on the jig with the rubber hackle tail.
During the hard water season the feather tail jigs seem to work the best.
Of course I have a assortment of both styles, only in a smaller size, in my winter jig box.

Yessir...that style jig looks very similar. I made this style of pinmin a few years ago. Tip with a wax worm or soft plastic and hold on...you are going to get a slab. I will post the photos here to give others an idea of the possibilities of just soldering up your own.

I truly love to see your work also ship it's amazing what we can do with a little paintbrush in the little bit of imagination but you guys are really made my day by posting your jigs.

I am trying the powder paint dusting technique now. Basically I am letting the pinmin cool a bit before powder painting it. The result is the powder paint does not melt as much and you get a furry body type look that still does not come off. Crappies are hammering the all pink head with no eye tipped with a waxie or small soft plastic.

I did not use any glitter on the powdered paint bodies until this fall. I tried various methods of applying glitter and found a brushed on application worked best for me. I also had fairly good luck by painting on a coat of clear coat and sprinkling on glitter. This process was quit messy but it worked.
It was easy process to take a previous made jig and paint on some glitter. It will be interesting to see now well the glitter jig perform during this up coming hard water season
