A Simple pattern
This is a real simple pattern that has produced well this summer and fall. The lure is so simple to tie I named it a KISS Bug. The bug is composed of a lead head with a painted or textured body. The lead body can be wrapped with a dubbing noodle, or yarn. The tail is composed of rubber tackle. I have found this summer the painted bodies work as well as the textured bodies; although this may change during the hard water season.
I make the Bugs in 1/48 once # 12 hook, 1/32 once # 10 hook, 1/16 once # 8 hook and 1/8 once # 6 hook.
The bugs are very durable and show no ware after hours of use catching panfish.
Pictured is the 1/8 once # 6 hook KISS Bugs.
