Default Finally tying up some again

Got the itch and with the kids starting school again I will have ample bored to death time on my hands.

These are bead and pin hematite jigs for salmon this fall. 1/20-1/50 ounce best I can figure out.

Figure they would catch a crappie or two if the crappie would bite this year, or any year for me for that matter.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

Well I made my mold, plastic and colorant orders so I will be doing a bunch of that soon too. Gotta do something while the kids are in school or I will go completely bunk nuts!

Bead pin jigs are made with a bead and a pin/sewing pin/nail. Put the pin through the bead and tie it in in front of the jig hook instead of pouring a jig head. This puts the weight in front and helps them stay horizintal in the water. Allows you to use anything for the head and adjust weight.

Those look great. They'd catch crappie around here.

I only fish on days of the week that end with
a "Y" ...and then, only if it's raining or not.
