Repainting jigs

I bought a 80 piece Lindy xchange kit but i wasnt able to pick the color that i wanted, so i ended up with a lot of colors i will never use. I'm thinking about repainting them but dont know if it'll hold. Anybody have any suggestions?

I would probably use my dermal to remove the paint on them and just do them again. If there are a lot of them you want to change it may not be worth that. If my paint has some problem as happens every blue moon I do that.

For what it's worth, it's a pain in the butt to do. I repainted a style of bucktail that I had, scrapped her "clean" and rubbed what I thought was all of the paint off. Then powder painted them and upon curing that old paint bled out through the pores in the lead a bit. Over-coating with a liquid might fare better, just a lot of work to save some money IMHO.

I "redo" jig heads often especially if they are chipped or if my paint job is not right. Heads can be scrapped clean or held in a heat source and then wiped clean with wet paper towel. Usually put the redos in a separate container until have enough to make them a rainy-day project. Either way is time consuming but crappie guys are known to be a little "fishy" anyway.

Painting over would be good if you have some vinyl paint, then no need to put back in the oven!
