I think I am going to go with the Danika DanVice. Good reviews on the "competition" page that was referenced and it's at my price point. Now...to figure materials.

That is the first one I bought and later sold. It will work, but know a lot of it is plastic. The jaws are metal though. I like it pretty well for the money!

If you decide to upgrade later you should be able to get most of you money back so take good care of it.

I agree he has good pricing. For tools I would recommend Bob Marriott's for sure as they carry most everything you could possible need and they have good pricing as well. also good service.

I am going to order from Cabella's as they have the better pricing on things and they have 5 dollar shipping. I understand I am not getting the absolute best but if it lasts me a year, then money well spent IMO. I take care of things so it should last longer than that.

I'm looking at crazyangler for materials, and so far I have a bit pulled together for different colors of marabou style jigs but rather using hackle (what is this style known as?) instead of marabou. The crazyangler site says it is the same as I understand it. I have gotten multi colors of that plus a few colors of chenille and of course some Danville 210 thread colors. Also got some powder colors. Black and white to begin.
